Yoooo. I finished a Nook! My painting wasn’t perfect but I’m satisfied. Finsihing will be better on any that I sell. The plan right now is to make 5-10 and get them finished up in different finishes and sell them as one off’s here. I’ll accept any custom orders for them too! A prototype for the Moore Stool is pictured too, I was working on that this weekend. There’s still some work to be done for sure. I’m going to build a light into that one as well and I probably should tweak the pattern a bit. It’s fairly close to my original rendering at this point. Andy P will probably help me out with 3d printing the light assembly for me after I get it modeled.

Shop is live!
Buy some stuff please. I’ll have the Nooks soon. Andrew Pollard of Bayer Bros Sets is helping me manufacture my prototype. Thanks Andy if you see this. Hopefully within a week or so I’ll have a nice wall cabinet to show.

I’m still here! I’ve been working on the Moore - the light fixture for that one is causing me some issues. I’m getting ready to share this site a little more broadly. If you’re here from Facebook or Instagram then you’re already aware of that, haha. The Nooks are ready to produce on a one-off custom basis. However, I’m still planning on making several and listing them on the home page here. I’m getting ready to launch a Shminge.co website (iykyk). I’m planning on using this site as a shop, portfolio, and blog. For now I’ll be keeping my identity as hidden as possible. But, you probably know me if you are here. Try to keep it on the DL.
I’m working on finishing a working prototype of the Nooks. Hopefully those will be up soon.
I’ve debated how this would work for a while. I like the idea of doing custom pieces, but if I can sell any of the things that I make for myself then that’s great for me. For now - I will make the stuff that I want to make at my own pace. I’ll list them here. Pricing will probably be inconsistent or weird while I’m starting out - and shipping will be slow at first.
Down the line I will likely develop listings for whatever models I sell and give some options to customize while you buy. Finish kind of stuff, addons, special options. Whatever.

If you’re interested in furniture - especially any of the following:
midcentury, arts and crafts (especially Esherick or Gamble House), Versailles furniture, contemporary and modern upholstery (especially italian, weird LA stuff, anything odd), plant furniture, Shaker, campaign, black lacquer (in any period)
Should I sell plans? Is anyone reading this? I’m going to make a mailing list eventually. And make the cart work. And fix all the links. But whatever, this is just the start.
